Okay, we have been hearing a lot of criticism about taxes, apparently Obama raised the income tax of 36% to a close 38%, and they call him a socialist. But what about this guy.

Eisenhower promoted a stable economy and fought to balance the budget. While he accepted the basic premise of the New Deal, his economic policy followed a moderate course. His two terms produced eight years of growth and relative prosperity. Nearly every indicator of economic health -- GNP, capital investments, personal savings and income -- showed substantial upswings. Additionally, Eisenhower refused to further fuel the economy with politically popular tax cuts.

Fact: Eisenhower tax rates for the the top percent was 92%. If Obama is a Socialist, then Dwight must have been Stalin.

One thing that gets me. Is this tax "hike" that Obama has proposed, is nothing more than repealing tax cuts that were given to the rich right after 9/11. Which obviously didn't friggin work.

So was it REALLY that bad when we had tax rates relatively the same rates as in the Clinton years?
